1st research meeting
At the 1st research meeting, quantitative results of quality analysis of LAS files obtained by Croatian Science Foundation LandSlidePlan project, laser airborne scanning of three pilot areas, the Podsljemenska zone in Zagreb, the City of Buzet and the City of Lepoglava and the Bednja Municipality were presented. It was confirmed that the digital data covers 20 km2 of all three pilot areas and are of very high quality considering the density of ground surface points without vegetation. Based on a visual inspection of the landslide by all project members, it was also confirmed that the landslides are very well visible in all three pilot areas, regardless of the different geomorphological environments and landslide characteristics.
It was agreed to start activities on creating three series of DEMs with different input parameters for point cloud interpolation, and also to develop a methodology for morphometric analyzes of DEMs, which are the subject of the scientific research.
