Presentations at the 10th international conference on geomorphology
At the 10th international conference on geomorphology „The 10th IAG International conference on Geomorphology“, organised by the International Association of Geomorphologists, which was held in Coimbra (Portugal) from the 12th to 16th of September 2022., post-doctoral researcher Sanja Bernat Gazibara and associate professor Martin Krkač held oral presentations of the abstract papers prepared within the framework of the LandSlidePlan project. Sanja Bernat Gazibara, PhD, presented a paper entitled “Landslide and erosion inventory mapping based on LiDAR data: A case study from Istria (Croatia)”. The research demonstrated the application of remote sensing in interpreting landslides and erosion in the Flisch terrains, i.e. the pilot area in the City of Buzet, and the application of landslide and erosion inventories in spatial planning. Assoc. prof. Martin Krkač presented a paper entitled “Geomorphological characteristics of landslides in the Hrvatsko Zagorje (NW Croatia)”. The research demonstrated the relationship of the landslides in the study area in Hrvatsko Zagorje (parts of the municipality of Bednja and the city of Lepoglava) regarding morphological characteristics such as slope, curvature, terrain dissection and surface area ratio, derived from the different resolution digital terrain models.
