Defined information’s possible to derive from landslide susceptibility maps

As part of the LandSlidePlan project, zoning maps of landslide susceptibility were created for three pilot areas in the Pannonian Basin and in Istria (Adriatic Plate) in order to cover different geological and geomorphological environments. The goal of the project is to develop a methodology for creating zonation maps for spatial planning in the Republic of Croatia, which includes the verification of susceptibility maps with potential users.

Scientific research conducted with users until January 2023 resulted in the definition of the possibility of deriving information for spatial planning, which is consolidated in the report entitled “Application of landslide maps in spatial planning“. In addition to landslide susceptibility zoning maps for application at the local level, the report also describes the application of 1:25.000 scale susceptibility zoning maps, which were the subject of research in the PRI-MJER project.

This report represents one chapter of the complete publication “Guidelines for development of landslide maps in Croatia “, which will be the result of the Croatian Science Foundation LandSlidePlan project.
