Workshop on a statistical analysis
The first workshop on statistical analysis of landslide susceptibility was held at the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering in Zagreb from the 5th to the 7th of April 2022. The workshop was held by Paola Reichenbach and Mauro Rossi from the Research Institute for Geo-Hydrogeological Protection (Istituto di Ricerca per la Protezione Idrogeologica, IRPI) from Perugia. At the workshop, the Croatian LandSlidePlan researchers were introduced to the modern tools used in landslide susceptibility analyses: Logistic Regression, Neural Networks, Linear Discriminant Analyzes and Quadratic Discriminant analyses. The presented methods were applied to different types of cartographic units in different research areas of the LandSlidePlan project. In addition to the presentation and application of modern tools, the workshop included the exchange of knowledge and a field trip on the LandSlidePlan project research area, in the City of Zagreb (Podsljeme) and Croatian Zagorje (City of Lepoglava and Municipality of Bednja).
